This is the Milton Keynes Kids guide to free or cheap Christmas events in MK and surrounding areas that your children may enjoy in 2016. If you’re looking for grottos and more expensive events please scroll to the bottom for the link to that list put together by one of my fellow bloggers. This is all about free events, community events, light switch on ceremonies, and cheap options of places to take the kids for some festive fun. DO CHECK that an event is running before you go. I’m sure there are loads more, so do email me at laura@miltonkeyneskids.com if you’re organising an event which costs under a fiver to go to. I’ll be updating it throughout December so please keep checking back. As you can imagine, it’s taken me ages to source, collate, summarise and order this info, and quite frankly it’s a really time-consuming task, I’d much rather be drinking cheap Prosecco and watching tv. So I do hope you find it useful and send it to family and friends. Don’t copy and paste parts of it if you run you own website. I get really grumpy.

I do this blog for free. If you find this article – or any of my posts useful – could you possibly take 10 seconds to vote for me? I’m representing Milton Keynes in the champion of champions final of the Digital Awards in Feb 2017 but I need votes to win! Just click this link, then Milton Keynes Kids and submit vote. You don’t need to put in any details – it’s really appreciated!

I'm Laura, mum of two boys - aged six and four. I started this website at the end of Sept 2015 whilst on maternity leave. I now work four days a week and do this blog late at night once the little boys are sleeping. It's won several awards over the last four years and I continue to run it for free and mostly focus on free, cheap, and good value days out. Don't forget to follow all of our latest adventures on facebook, instagram and twitter and have a look at all of the videos of the places we visit on the Milton Keynes Kids YouTube Channel - subscribe to it for notifications every time I add a new place. And remember... you may been reading this post months after we visited, do check with the destination you're visiting for up to date opening times and prices.
