One of the best Christmas houses in Bedfordshire is in Marston Moretaine. It is just the one house but it’s worth visiting even if you’re not local to the area. It’s owned by the Knight family and they do it all to raise money for Emily’s Star. There’s so much to look at and the family are happy for you to walk down the path to look at anything. They may even pop out to say hello and offer your children some treats. Please do take some money with you. They have a tube on the left hand side of the fence to drop some coins in to. It’s on Bedford Road and really easy to find. Its on the opposite site to the post office and a few properties down. The best postcode is MK43 0LA. We found it really easy to park on the road, but it can be busy so do take care. There are a few houses in Marston with some pretty lights which you’ll see on the way if you come via the A421. It’s about 20-30 minutes from Milton Keynes depending on where you are. Do watch the video below so you can see what it’s like.

I do this blog for free. If you find this article – or any of my posts useful – could you possibly take 10 seconds to vote for me? I’m representing Milton Keynes in the champion of champions final of the Digital Awards in Feb 2017 but I need votes to win! Just click this link, then Milton Keynes Kids and submit vote. You don’t need to put in any details – it’s really appreciated. If you’re looking to visit more houses with Christmas lights have a look at the Christmas decorations section of my blog. Or if you’re looking for festive events to take the kids to then check out my list of free and cheap Christmas events.

I'm Laura, mum of two boys - aged six and four. I started this website at the end of Sept 2015 whilst on maternity leave. I now work four days a week and do this blog late at night once the little boys are sleeping. It's won several awards over the last four years and I continue to run it for free and mostly focus on free, cheap, and good value days out. Do drop me an email laura@miltonkeyneskids.com if you want to contact me. Don't forget to follow all of our latest adventures on facebook, instagram and twitter and have a look at all of the videos of the places we visit on the Milton Keynes Kids YouTube Channel - subscribe to it for notifications every time I add a new place. And remember... you may been reading this post months after we visited, do check with the destination you're visiting for up to date opening times and prices. If you find this blog useful then please do comment on my posts and leave me a Facebook review - it makes doing this all the more worthwhile.
