There are so many different places you can take your children in warm weather… parks, country parks, and lovely woodland areas are all cheap options. And yet when it’s really hot, all the kids want to do is cool down. One of the best places we discovered they can do that and have a brilliant day out for free is Leighton Buzzard splash park. It’s only 20-25 mins from MK and the short car journey is well worth the trip. There’s a beach there too so take a bucket and spade. There’s a good range of play equipment and although it’s a bit old school, there’s enough there to enjoy.
