Caldecotte Lake, park & miniature railway
Caldecotte Lake lies off the H10 Bletcham Way, between the V10 Brickhill St and the A5 – easily seen from the road – just look for the windmill. There’s the lake where you can feed the ducks, a nice park and also just behind the Caldecotte Arms is one of MK’s hidden gems – the Caldecotte Miniature Railway. It costs just £1 a ride and the train goes round a track twice. It’s probably one of the smaller miniature railways we’ve been on – but it’s cheap enough to have a few rides. My 2 year old boy loved it requesting to go on again. It’s open every Sunday 1pm-5pm – do keep an eye on their facebook page for the latest information – occasionally they may not run. We went at 4pm and it was quiet. Parking is free. The park is a good size for toddlers with plenty of equipment to enjoy.
