Thomas the tank engine

*** NEXT DAYS OUT 2nd / 3rd July 2016 ***

We had a fun day out at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre back in June 2015. A day out with Thomas is held every few months throughout the year. You can ride as many times as you like on Thomas. Percy was also there when we went. It’s a very short ride though. There’s an excellent miniature railway. In the big shed there’s a train where you can watch Thomas on a screen (toddler loved this) as well as train toys to play with, face painting and you can meet the Fat Controller. There’s also a balloon modelling show.

BUT It’s definitely a treat day out with tickets in advance costing £13 for adults, £9 for children, under 2s free (it may have gone up since we went). You can get tickets on the day but it’s just slightly more. There’s café but it does get busy. We took a picnic as usual. Showery rain didn’t spoil the day, but it wouldn’t be great if it’s torrential. Easy to park. We didn’t take a buggy.

We visited in June 2015 – please check their website for the latest dates, prices and information.
