I’m not the biggest fan of soft plays. I find they can be stressful with a toddler who is more than capable of climbing and whizzing down slides but who I still need to keep an eye on, and a baby boy who needs my full attention. We’re also unlikely to stay more than a couple of hours so I begrudge paying for those who charge for adults and both children. Moan, moan, moan. Actually this isn’t too much of a moan. Far from it. I do think soft plays have their place, especially when the weather is bad, I just don’t get as much enjoyment taking the little boys to them as do I going to other places. Anyway… we’ve visited one recently which ticked a lot of boxes. Adventure World (also known as Toddler World) is at Dunstable Leisure Centre. It’s aimed at younger children. There’s a big frame with lots of steps to climb. It only cost £3.50 for my eldest. Me and the baby boy were both free. You can read all about it in my latest blog post about Adventure World Soft Play at Dunstable Leisure Centre.

I'm Laura, mum of two boys - aged six and four. I started this website at the end of Sept 2015 whilst on maternity leave. I now work four days a week and do this blog late at night once the little boys are sleeping. It's won several awards over the last four years and I continue to run it for free and mostly focus on free, cheap, and good value days out. Do drop me an email laura@miltonkeyneskids.com if you want to contact me. Don't forget to follow all of our latest adventures on facebook, instagram and twitter and have a look at all of the videos of the places we visit on the Milton Keynes Kids YouTube Channel - subscribe to it for notifications every time I add a new place. And remember... you may been reading this post months after we visited, do check with the destination you're visiting for up to date opening times and prices. If you find this blog useful then please do comment on my posts and leave me a Facebook review - it makes doing this all the more worthwhile.
