Simpson Park in Milton Keynes opened in 2016 and is particularly good if you have younger and slightly older children. Watch our video below to see all of the play equipment and then scroll down for all of the details.

What kind of play equipment is at Simpson park?

My boys (approaching four and two as I write this in May 2017) love the red climbing frame. It’s small enough so that my youngest can climb up the stairs, walk along the wobbly bridge and then go down the slide all by himself. It also has musical pipes which my eldest loved playing and a fireman’s pole which he liked going down. They spent most of their time on this one frame. There’s also a snake swing and a larger climbing frame suitable for older children. There are two baby swings and some wooden stepping stones and a bridge

What else is at Simpson park?

There’s a picnic area and it backs on to a big field. I’m sure you can go on a nice walk, but we didn’t explore that far.

Where is Simpson park and where else can we visit afterwards?

The best postcode is MK6 3AY. The park is located on Simpson Drive which just off the H9 Groveway in Milton Keynes. There is a car park. Within a short drive there’s Caldecotte Lake (the miniature railway is open on Sunday afternoons in the summer) and the Snail park in Walnut Tree. If you’re looking for more parks to visit do remember to have a look a look at the parks section of Milton Keynes Kids and to find out where everywhere is then here is our map.

I'm Laura, mum of two boys - aged six and four. I started this website at the end of Sept 2015 whilst on maternity leave. I now work four days a week and do this blog late at night once the little boys are sleeping. It's won several awards over the last four years and I continue to run it for free and mostly focus on free, cheap, and good value days out. Do drop me an email laura@miltonkeyneskids.com if you want to contact me. Don't forget to follow all of our latest adventures on facebook, instagram and twitter and have a look at all of the videos of the places we visit on the Milton Keynes Kids YouTube Channel - subscribe to it for notifications every time I add a new place. And remember... you may been reading this post months after we visited, do check with the destination you're visiting for up to date opening times and prices. If you find this blog useful then please do comment on my posts and leave me a Facebook review - it makes doing this all the more worthwhile.
