There aren’t that many places where entrance is free, parking is free, and you could potentially spend all day there. Well if you don’t mind driving to Luton, then Stockwood Discovery Centre offers just that. It’s essentially a really good museum which houses a big collection of vehicles among other things, but it also has beautiful gardens and a really nice play area (and a climb on tractor which my toddler loved! There’s something there which would appeal to all ages, children, parents and grandparents. If you’re looking for something a bit more then they have an excellent country fair which is on 27th and 28th March 2016, but there is an entry fee.
