The most beautiful house with Christmas lights that we’ve found is in Olney. What’s so unique about it is that it looks just as lovely in the day as it does at night. The lights are on between 4.30pm and 10.30pm every night up until 12 days after Christmas. It’s well worth seeing. But the owners have had some sad news this week that I hope you may be able to help with. Watch the video and then scroll down for more information.

The house is owned by Jim Bridge and his wife Dawn. They’ve been decorating the house for some years. Lots of people starting visiting and so three years ago they decided to start collecting money for Willen Hospice. However much is raised by visitors is then matched with a donation by the company that Jim works for ATISEAU Ltd. Last year they raised £1000 which was fab. However this year on the 10th December someone stole one of the collection buckets. It’s estimated it had between £50 and £100 in. I find it so sad that someone has done this. Please, if you get the chance and are in the Olney area, or are happy to travel, do go and visit the house to support them. There is now only one collection box which is the post box to put your money in. Please give what you can. The address is 31 Lime Street, Olney, MK46 5BA. It’s the first house as you turn into that road. You can park on that road. Although it’s not too far from the centre of Olney so you could park and walk down. Carry on scrolling for more information about Christmas lights.

I'm Laura, mum of two boys - aged six and four. I started this website at the end of Sept 2015 whilst on maternity leave. I now work four days a week and do this blog late at night once the little boys are sleeping. It's won several awards over the last four years and I continue to run it for free and mostly focus on free, cheap, and good value days out. Do drop me an email laura@miltonkeyneskids.com if you want to contact me. Don't forget to follow all of our latest adventures on facebook, instagram and twitter and have a look at all of the videos of the places we visit on the Milton Keynes Kids YouTube Channel - subscribe to it for notifications every time I add a new place. And remember... you may been reading this post months after we visited, do check with the destination you're visiting for up to date opening times and prices. If you find this blog useful then please do comment on my posts and leave me a Facebook review - it makes doing this all the more worthwhile.
