Fancott Miniature Railway
If you’re looking for a pub with a little something extra for the kids then the Fancott near Toddington is worth a look. We love trains and so enjoyed our visit to the Fancott Miniature Railway in October 2015 – it’s £2 a go and the journey is a few minutes. There’s a climbing frame which my 2 year old liked but with a high fireman’s pole I just had to keep a close eye on him. The railway generally runs weekends 1pm-5pm, bank holidays and weekdays during the school holidays BUT (and this is very important) do check their facebook page before going as it is subject to good weather and they may not run it. Call them if in doubt. Loads of seating outside. Pub had nice rustic feel inside.
TIME FROM MK – 25 mins approx.
ADDRESS – Nr Toddington, Bedfordshire LU5 6HT
TEL – Railway manager – 07917 756237, pub 01525 872366
I'm Laura, mum of two boys - aged five and three. I started this website at the end of Sept 2015 whilst on maternity leave. I now work four days a week and do this blog late at night once the little boys are sleeping. It's won several awards over the last three years and I continue to run it for free and mostly focus on free, cheap, and good value days out. Do drop me an email firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to contact me. Don't forget to follow all of our latest adventures on facebook, instagram and twitter and have a look at all of the videos of the places we visit on my new Milton Keynes Kids YouTube Channel - subscribe to it for notifications every time I add a new place. And remember... you may been reading this post months after we visited, do check with the destination you're visiting for up to date opening times and prices. If you find this blog useful then please do comment on my posts and leave me a Facebook review - it makes doing this all the more worthwhile.
