Brooklands Pavilion Park in Milton Keynes
I often get questions asking for suggestions of parks which would also be suitable for older children. This is one of them – Brooklands Pavilion park in Milton Keynes. I popped there briefly recently with my youngest son before heading somewhere else so thought I’d give you a brief idea of what to expect and where it is. Watch my video below and then scroll down for more information.
Where is Brooklands Pavilion Park?
The park is behind Brooklands Pavilion in Milton Keynes. The address is Brooklands Community Sports Pavilion, Countess Way, Brooklands, Milton Keynes, MK10 7HN. I parked in the car park next to the building and it was empty on a Sunday. It’s next to the school so I don’t know how busy it would be in the week though.
What’s at the Brooklands Pavilion Park?
There are several wooden climbing frames with features like a slide, climbing nets, bars, climbing wall and beams as you can see in the pictures below. There’s also a nest swing. I took my 3 year old, he said much of the equipment was too big for him. I think my 5 year old would enjoy it much more and it’s more suitable for children from that age up – or younger confident climbers. The park was empty when we visited and is rather hidden so you wouldn’t know it was there really. The park is gated / fenced for much of it, apart from an area at the back that when we visited had been left open and is quite exposed going down into the bank, so definitely keep an eye on younger ones if you visit.
Where else can we go locally?
Brooklands has a couple of other good parks – this one which I believe is called Brooklands Meadows park – it has a sandy area and a variety of play equipment which is good for a range of ages including really young children. There’s also this one which opened in 2018 which has an excellent zipwire and climbing frame – best for adventurous toddlers up.
