We’re big fans of Willen Lake. At one point (until we started this crazy adventure) it was one of our default places to go, particularly at the weekend. According to the website, over one million visitors a year take part in watersports activities, go cycling, enjoy the playground, play mini-golf, try the high ropes course or picnic along Willen’s shores. When toddler was a baby, me and the mummy friends used to do a good power walk with the buggies. Now we feed the ducks, go to the park and during the summer go on the miniature train. Anyway the play area is closed from 21st September 2015 for approximately 3 weeks according to the Parks Trust facebook page. Apparently they’re installing a new bit of equipment. Looking forward to seeing what it will be! The gallery below gives an idea of what’s there at the moment for toddlers.
